Nancy McKinstry
Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Executive Board for Wolters Kluwer
As CEO and Chairman of Wolters Kluwer, Nancy McKinstry spearheaded the
successful transformation of the company into a forward-looking,
customer-focused global information services provider for professionals
worldwide. Since being named to her position in 2003, McKinstry has
focused on creating an organization that delivers superior value to
customers and shareholders and is leading the organization as it
carries out a strategy to accelerate profitable growth.
Before assuming her present position, Ms. McKinstry gained
more than a decade of experience at Wolters Kluwer and its operating
companies in North America. Most recently she was an Executive Board
Member of the company and previously served as CEO of Wolters Kluwer’s
operations in North America. She also was President and CEO of CCH
Legal Information Services, now a part of Wolters Kluwer’s Corporate
& Financial Services division. Earlier, McKinstry held product
management positions with CCH INCORPORATED, now part of Wolters
Kluwer’s Tax, Accounting & Legal division. During her tenure at
CCH, the company emerged as a leading provider of electronic publishing
products.
In 1999, she worked briefly as CEO of SCP Communications, a
medical information company, before rejoining Wolters Kluwer to head
North American operations. Early in her career, Ms. McKinstry held
management positions with Booz Allen Hamilton, an international
management-consulting firm, where she focused on assignments in the
media and publishing industries.
Ms. McKinstry is a member of the Boards of Directors of
leading telecom supplier Ericsson; the American Chamber of Commerce in
the Netherlands; and TiasNimbas Business School. Ms. McKinstry is also
a member of the Advisory Council of ABN AMRO Holding NV, the Advisory
Council of the Amsterdam Institute of Finance, the Dutch Advisory
Council of INSEAD, the Advisory Board for the University of Rhode
Island, and the Board of Overseers of Columbia Business School. In
addition, she is a member of the University Club of New York City.
Ms. McKinstry was named one of Europe’s Top 25 Women in
Business by the Financial Times, and was among Fortune’s 50 Most
Powerful Women and Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women. Most recently, Ms.
McKinstry was also ranked in the 50 Women to Watch 2007 list by the
Wall Street Journal.
She earned her MBA in Finance and Marketing from Columbia
University, New York, and Bachelors Degree in Economics from the
University of Rhode Island, Kingston, where she graduated Phi Beta
Kappa. In May 2005, she was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of
Laws by the University of Rhode Island in recognition of her
contributions to business.
Arvind Subramanian
President & CEO WK Health Clinical Solutions & ProVation Medical, Inc.
Mr. Subramanian brings 20 years of general management, process and
functional expertise (marketing, technology, sales, business
development, customer service, operations) to Wolters Kluwer Health
(WKH) as the President & CEO of WKH Clinical Solutions. Arvind
served for over 10 years at General Electric Company (GE), where he
held vice president/general manager positions for several business
lines at GE Information Services, and senior product/service management
positions at GE Medical Systems, including positions in the global
nuclear/molecular medicine modality, service marketing and operations,
and strategic planning/market research. After leaving GE in 1999, Mr.
Subramanian served on the executive management teams of two
venture-capital backed technology start-up companies, both of which
completed successful exit strategies, including ProVation® Medical,
where he served as Chief Operating Officer prior to the WKH
acquisition. Mr. Subramanian brings significant domain expertise in the
areas of healthcare medical devices, supply chain software and services
and clinical software and services to WKH. He received his BA and MBA
degrees from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr.
Subramanian is married with two daughters and lives in the suburbs of
Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Scott Schlesner
Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Mr. Schlesner has served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for
Clinical Solutions at Wolters Kluwer Health since 2006. Mr. Schlesner
has more than 20 years of experience in health care sales and
marketing. Prior to joining our company, he served as Vice President of
Sales and Marketing for a start-up company that successfully introduced
a "new concept" in operating room technology. Earlier in his career, he
spent 11 years at GE Healthcare, where he held of variety of sales and
management positions. He began his career in 1987 as a sales
representative with Baxter Healthcare. Mr. Schlesner holds a Bachelor’s
of Science and a Master’s of Business Administration from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison.
John Pins
Vice President, Finance
Since joining Wolters Kluwer Health in 1997, Mr. Pins has served in
multiple capacities, including Director of Accounting for our
Professional & Education business unit, Controller of Wolters
Kluwer Health and Accounting Manager for Facts & Comparisons™. He
was named Vice President of Finance in June 2006. During his tenure
with our company, Mr. Pins has worked closely with new system
integrations and international accounting, among other special
projects. In his current role, he oversees the finance divisions of
ProVation® Medical, Inc., Drug Information and Decision Support. Prior
to joining Wolters Kluwer, Mr. Pins served in public accounting for
more than 7 years. He has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in accounting
from Iowa State University and is a certified CPA.
Cathy Reilly
Vice President of Publishing
Mrs. Reilly, Vice President of Publishing for Wolters Kluwer Health,
joined our company in 1992. She has more than 25 years of journal, book
and database publishing experience, focusing in the past 15 years on
medical and drug information publishing. Since 2004, she has
concentrated her efforts on the integration of Medi-Span® and Facts
& Comparisons™ knowledge and content. Mrs. Reilly holds a
Bachelor’s of Education degree with specialties in English and
journalism from Harris-Stowe University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Debbie Johnson
Director of Human Resources, Clinical Solutions
Mrs. Johnson is a human resources professional with more than 20 years
experience in recruiting, training, compensation, employee relations
and performance and talent management. As Director of Human Resources
for Clinical Solutions, she currently has HR responsibilities for
Wolters Kluwer Health Clinical Solutions personnel in Indianapolis, St.
Louis and Minneapolis, along with some divisional project
responsibilities. Prior to joining Wolters Kluwer Health, Mrs. Johnson
served as the Human Resources Director for a Big Four accounting firm.
She also has previous manufacturing HR experience. Mrs. Johnson holds a
Bachelor’s of Science in Management degree from Purdue University and a
Master’s of Business Administration degree from Butler University in
Indiana. She is active in HR professional organizations and the
non-profit community.
David A. Del Toro
Vice President, Product Development
Mr. Del Toro joined Wolters Kluwer Health in January of 2006 via the
ProVation® Medical acquisition. Mr. Del Toro currently manages the
Product Development group within the Clinical Solutions business unit
of Wolters Kluwer Health. This group is responsible for the software
development and product management activities for the Drug Information,
Decision Support and ProVation product lines. At ProVation, Mr. Del
Toro was responsible for the software development team. Prior to
ProVation, Mr. Del Toro was Vice President of Development & Support
and Manager-in-Charge for the Roseville, Minnesota office of McKesson.
Mr. Del Toro started his health care information systems career 23
years ago with Serving Software, Inc. (now a part of McKesson) and
throughout his career he has managed numerous customer support and
development areas. Mr. Del Toro has a Bachelor’s of Arts in
Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics from the University of
Minnesota and a Master’s of Arts in management from St. Mary's
University of Minnesota.
